PHILOSOPHY
My goal in graphic design is to be thorough in my research and attentive to the problem that needs solved. I believe in forming a process and using the tools I have at my disposal to complete tasks with a scientific precision. Communication should be the focus of design, and effective communication is best achieved through collaboration, critical analysis of the problem, and the steps that are taken to solve it.

hi, i’m luke!
I hold Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Graphic Design, Interactive Web Design, and Studio Art from Cedarville University, where I graduated in May 2021. Since graduating I have been working as a graphic designer at Just Ink Tees, a screenprinting and embroidery shop in Southwest Ohio where I create art for retail customer, build proofs to ensure accuracy or production, and create films to enable printing.
Some areas of the field I particularly enjoy include identity design, bookcover design, front end web design and development, and dimensional signage. I enjoy experimenting with type and finding creative ways to show typographic hierarchy, as well as learning new skills related to front end web development.
I love the fields related to art and design and my goal is to use those to improve lives through the use of of effective communication.
